01 What we collect

Your kick video and AI coaching frames

Pose tracking and scoring run on your device, and the full video file never leaves your phone. To generate AI coaching, the app automatically sends a small number of downscaled still images from your kick (a few frames per phase) along with the numeric analysis results to our server, which passes them to Google Gemini. These frames are processed transiently and are not stored permanently. This happens for every analysis.

Your account

Every account, including guest, receives a stable anonymous account identifier. We use it to associate analyses with your account and enforce usage limits. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email your provider supplies are held in our authentication records.

Analysis results and preferences

Your saved analysis history, profile, onboarding answers, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Numeric analysis results are also sent transiently with the sampled frames to generate coaching.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog for product interaction events and crash reports, tied to an anonymous device-generated identifier. They are not linked to your identity and are never used to track you across other apps or websites.

What we never do

We do not track you across apps or websites, show ads, sell your data, or use advertising identifiers.

02 How we use it

Analysis results exist so you can see your scores and track progress. Sampled frames exist solely to generate your coaching feedback. Product interaction events and crash reports help us improve the app. Nothing is used for advertising or profiling.

03 Third parties

Apple. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles the entire payment; we never see or store card details.

Supabase. Our backend, used for authentication, stable account identifiers including anonymous guest identifiers, AI usage limits, and scoring requests. Your kick clip and numeric results pass through Supabase to be scored. Accepted clips are processed in memory and are not stored; clips flagged by our automated discrepancy checks may be retained for quality review.

Google. Google Gemini receives your kick clip and numeric biomechanical context to generate coaching text, and processes them transiently.

PostHog. Our analytics provider, described above. It receives anonymous events and crash reports only.

We never sell or rent your information, and no third party receives your data for advertising.

04 Data retention and deletion

You can delete any analysis inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything stored locally on your device. Still frames used for AI coaching are processed transiently and are not retained.

To delete anything held on our side (your account identifier, AI usage records, or session), email support@kickerai.app and we will remove it.

05Children's privacy

Many of our users are high-school athletes, so we built Kicker AI to be safe for young users by default: no ads, no data sale, no cross-app tracking. Pose tracking runs on the device. For every scored analysis, the kick clip and numeric results are sent through our server to Google Gemini for scoring and coaching. Clips are processed transiently and are not stored permanently, except clips our automated checks flag, which may be retained for quality review.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, contact support@kickerai.app and we will review and delete it promptly.

06 Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change meaningfully affects how your data is handled, we will say so clearly in the app.
